The Original Dancing Baby is one of the first viral videos in the history of the internet by the original creator team Michael Girard, Robert Lurye and John Chadwick. They produced a meme before the world actually knew what a meme is. Also known as Baby Cha-Cha and Oogachacka Baby, is a viral video of a 3D-rendered baby dancing to the intro of “Hooked on a Feeling” by the Swedish rock band Blue Swede. Widely cited as one of the earliest examples of an Internet phenomenon, the Dancing Baby became globally popular via e-mail chains in 1996. By owning the digitally restored loop by the original creators, we now own a part of internet history.
