Feisty Doge is one of the images minted by Atsuko Sato as part of her 2021 auction, along with 7 others, including the most famous doge image.
This image was fractionalized into a token, $NFD, which means it can be owned by multiple people. If someone wished to, they could buy enough of the tokens on the market to redeem the original image. The community of token holders that has formed around this is the BIC! We are a collective of collectors who love memes and wish to protect their stories using the blockchain. This is done by having the creator of a meme mint an NFT of it - creating a digital object with their signature. This object can be auctioned off, allowing them to monetize their content in a way that has never previously been possible. It also allows us to steward the provenance of this story in a permanent and decentralized way - preserving internet history for the future.
